Well it finally happened, Mary was sentenced this morning. Although it wasn't enough (is anything less than 100 yrs enough?) she did get 121 months, 3 years probation and 17 point something million restitution. She will be earning a ....(drum roll)......whopping $25 per quarter in prision that will have to be put towards restitution....yes people, that's $100 per year over 10 years is ....(drum roll).......$1000 towards the restitution. I hope nobody is holding their breath waiting for this money. I loved the judge, he didn't buy any of her bs about cooperating and he didn't feel sorry for her at all! The defense and prosecutor recommended 78 months, he didn't feel that was enough...wtg Judge Anderson! Although, I would have loved for her to get the 20 year max sentence. He also put her on house arrest till she has to report to prison on March 21st. She is only able to leave for Dr. appointments and religious reasons. Now we have to go after the rest of the family members!
It was nice putting faces to so many of the people I've talked to over the last year and a half. The statements were great and I think they did make a difference in the sentencing.
Mary showed no expression during the entire process, I would have liked to see her at least shed a tear!
