THE BITCH gets 3 more months on the OUTSIDE

I'm so angry right now....why did they extend the sentencing hearing?? It's great for her that she gets to stay out of jail a while longer but how about the VICTIMS, we need some sort of closure to this mess, I want to do my impact statement and see her taken off to jail. Has everyone done their impact statement? Does anyone need information on how to do it? If so post on here and I can give you some information on how to do it. We ALL need to do one, even if you're not going to the hearing. The judge needs to know what we have all been put through!!

Talked to the FBI

I just talked to Brad Howard. What he said is, she wasn't arrested. However, she did plea guilty via her lawyer. On May 17th there will be a very short hearing (about 3 minutes) at the Ronald Regan Federal Building in Santa Ana. At that time they'll set a date for her plea hearing. That should take place about 3 weeks later and will be a much longer hearing. It's where she enters her plea and answers the questions from the court. Once that's done they'll set a sentencing hearing which will be about 60 to 90 days later. Once that's set we can send letters to the judge and do our victim statements at the hearing. Will keep you posted as to the dates and times of the events. Brad said Mary is taking the fall and nobody else is going down. I feel that her kids and the notaries should also be going down. However, at least she will go down!

Mary Perkins was arrested!

More information to come. It appears she was arrested and sentencing is in 6 weeks...but don't know all the information yet. Will post when we find out!

Better Business

I've been talking with April at the BBB and she said I'm the only one that has filed a complaint. It would be helpful if everyone went to their website at http://www.la.bbb.org/ and filed a complaint. It would also be helpful if everyone filed a complaint with them at http://www.dre.ca.gov/. They do have the power to arrest her if they find she has committed fraud. The Department of Real Estate has also been working on the case and said the information I gave today was very helpful. We all need to do our part. Thank you

We met with the Trustees

Today we met with the trustees and our attorneys. They asked me to go on the blog and ask for the following information from each investor
Name
Address
Phone Number
Amount invested and number of loans
Who you sent the checks to and who were they payable to
Did you deal with Mary or another sales person
Did you have any dealings with an escrow company, title company, notary? If so who?

Please email all information to me. I won't take the information over the phone! It's up to each investor if they want to provide the information for me to forward. If you don't want to, I'm not sure how you'll be included in the petition. I will forward your information to the trustees. My email address is blkjakbeth@aol.com

Right now they are in the fact finding phase. Once that's done they'll assess if there are assets to go after and how they will go about it. Our attorneys had a meeting with the trustees after the main meeting was done. They too are going to figure out the best way to go.

In our research we've found that there are many people that worked with Mary. So, now we've decided to find out what they have and possibly going after all them and their assets. We are in the process of seeing what's available what what we'd have rights to.

With a case like this there is no guarantee to anything. The lawyers can't tell us what we can get, there are many searches that need to be done and loans to be sorted out. Once people decided if they want to join our team we'll tell them what documents and information they need to bring to the table in order to go after them and try to get back for assets for everyone, but again if you're looking for guarantees you're not going to find them with a case like this. Mary messed with everyone, nobody was immune, we need to get everything we can from her and her family!

What's next???

Thank you to all that have sent emails and contacted me via the blog. Some have asked how to post. Each person that wants to comment needs to set up an account. I did mine via gmail. You don't have to give your real name, however, if you want people to see if you're on their loan they won't be able to do so without your name. I have a list with many of the investors names and numbers on them. If you bought your loan via Shirley Elliott, she has the numbers of the investors that went through her.

So, here's where we stand.....My family and friends have retained a law firm to handle the case for us. However, once the retainer is gone we will be done. The best case would be if a bunch of us got together and fought this as a team. That way one group isn't taking on the costs of fighting Mary. Another group retained their own lawyer and now we are paying for our attorney to talk to theirs. I don't feel this is productive, so this will stop. If we join forces we can do so much more.

If anyone can find out what Brite investments owns that would be great. I haven't been able to find anyone that can tell me what Brite has, whatever they have should belong to the investors.
Also, if you find properties owned by Herczeg that's important. That's the notary that forged our signatures and transferred properties into their name.

We are still waiting to hear from the FBI. They said we should hear something within the next 2 weeks to a month. That was a week ago. I want to be there is see Mary, Deborah, Robert and Rick taken away.

If you find that any of your loans are good, you should get them re serviced as soon as possible. It's not hard to do. What's hard is finding a good one. I know one group found 1 or 2 that were good and had them moved and re serviced.

From the research we've done there are more than 100 of us out there. Lets unite and fight this bitch as a group!!!

Is anyone reading this?

I've been posting on this blog for about a month and am wondering if anyone out there is reading it. If so and you're concerned about your name appearing you can set up an alias and post a comment. That way I know there are interested parties. If people aren't reading or aren't interested I can stop the flow of information.

It's not looking good!!

We've pulled the recorded deeds on our properties and now find that they forged our signature on them transferring the titles to Brite financial. Currently we are reporting the notary as it's a felony. Some of the people that it says signed weren't even in the state. And they spelled the signed name incorrectly. This is unbelievable. I had hoped that some of the loans might be good and we could transfer them to another servicing agent but that's not looking good either.

Some ideas what people should do

1. Call the FBI, our agent is Peter Norell phone number is 714-542-8825. When talking to him refer to Mary Perkins, Carlton Financial
2. Pull the recorded deeds on all your loans....see if you're listed on the deeds. If so, you can probably fire your servicing agent, ie Mary Perkins, and hire a new servicing agent. The servicing agent is the company who collects the payments from the barrowers and dispurses the payments to the lenders...ie. you will need to talk to each lender that is on the deed with you and agree on the servicing agent and work together.

The Letter Came!!

Well I tried to copy and paste the letter....but it won't let me. It doesn't say anything except they can't talk to any of us due to the govenment getting involved and we should know something within the 30 to 45 days....I'd take odds that we don't hear anything in that time frame either.

Talked to attorney today and they said the letter is going out today! Hmmmm, wonder what it will say. They said they'd email me a copy so I'll post it once it gets here. I have a feeling they will hit send and walk out the door at the same time, that way they don't have to deal with any of us! I knew when I talked to them yesterday it wouldn't get here till after business hours even though they said it would go out yesterday or first thing this morning, They are a bunch of chickens that don't want to deal with us!

Not sitting around waiting anymore!

I talked to Greenblatt today and they said a letter is going out either today or tomorrow. They won't say what's in the letter, just that it's coming. Also, my family had a conference call with an attorney today. We are meeting with them on Tuesday to see what steps need to be taken and how to go about the entire process. It looks like a huge mess!!! I recommend that everyone call their local FBI and give them Mary Perkins name and tell them a case has been filed and you'd like to file a case. Also, go the LA DA and file a claim along with the State Attorney's office.

I want my money

Since 2003 I have invested money with Mary Perkins at Carlton Financial, others in my family have been investing for over 40 years. I purchased 1st and 2nd trust deeds. I was told I owned a portion of the property and they were all recorded. I was receiving monthly income up until November 2009. In Dec I rec'd a letter from Greenblatt, Associates stating that they are doing an audit on Carlton Financial and all payments will be suspended for 30 to 45 days.
I emailed him for more information and rec'd nothing, I called and the call wasn't returned. I called again and was able to get ahold of him. He said that the investments went bad and the properties were foreclosed on. Some are in a holding company, but he didn't tell me who the holding company is or what it's purpose is. He said he' get back to me next week, however, he's never returned anyone in my family's calls. Nor has he returned my calls, so not real hopeful.
Have you invested with Carlton Financial or Mary Perkins? Did you get the same letter from the attorney? Have you tried to contact the attorney? How much of your life savings is on the line? I'm looking for other people in my same situation. We need to organize and demand information who do we call next, the DA the FBI...I will respond to all fellow investors
